Grant graduated in 1994 from Swathmore College and soon completed her masters from San Francisco California College of Arts (MFA).

Career Chronology of Alexandra Grant
2007 – In 2007 Grant had her first solo exhibition held at the Museum of contemporary art (MOCA) in Los Angeles. One of the paintings based on Michael Joyce’s work was presented as “Ladder Quartet”.
2008 – Another piece of art based on Joyce’s work was showcased in the Honor Fraser gallery in 2008. This was titled “ Six Portals”.
She also actively participated in a home renovating project of Edgar Arceneaux
2010- In 2010 “Bodies” based on Joyce’s work and the text was showcased in Honor Fraser Gallery.
2013 – In 2013 Grant showcased an exhibition based on book Philippines. This was done in collaboration with Cixous.
2015 – In 2015 grant published her work titled “Antigone 3000” which brought her critical praise. She also earned a Mid-Career Artist award (COLA).
2017 – A community project for the Archer school of girls (Los Angeles).
Teaching
Grant has also been a professor in the Art Center of College of Design (Pasadena, California). In 2015 Grant served as an MFA program mentor at Syracuse University.
Filmography
Grant Directed a short film called “ Taking Lena Home”. This was made possible because of the fact of Grant being a part of a residency at Bemis Center for contemporary art, Omaha, Nebraska.

Personal Life and Boyfriend Keanu Charles Reeves
Alexandra had gone on record to accept her relationship with the popular actor and musician Keanu Reeves. Keanu made headlines by walking the red carpet after a long time. This surely rolled eyes and instilled curiosity. He is popular since 1989 with his significant appearance in Bill and Ted Franchise.

She became pregnant and both of them were happy with the news. Unfortunately, she gave birth to a stillborn daughter named Ava Archer Syme- Reeves on December 24, 1999.
This incident led to disturbances in their relationship and soon the relationship ended. After the relationship ended traders again unfolded and Jennifer died in a car crash on April 2, 2011. These horrifying incidence left Keanu Charles Reeves devastated. He did not date anyone after that for a very long time.
Later on, he met Grant and they became friends through collaborative work and similar passion. Eventually, the friendship soon turned into a relationship.
